Button Up

I have a bit of a thing about buttons.  Memories of childhood and rooting through my Gran's button tin.

Sadly I've now used most of the vintage ones that belonged to my mother and grandmother - but the fascination still remains.

So I thought today I'd have a button day, and share some of the latest lovely makes I've discovered.

How charming is this little picture?  Simple, colourful and quite pretty

Not sure what these are... cuffs?  Loving the way the colours blend

Buttons, buttons, buttons...

What a fabulous necklace.  The colours!  And some of those buttons are amazing.  Found this on Pinterest, but sadly there is no link.

A little bit in love with this lampshade - and so easy too!

Another pretty piece of button art.  So effective.
Yet another Pinterest find that has no working link attached.  (Drives me mad)

That's it for today folks - I really must button down and do some housework.

  2. I can remember playing with a big jar of buttons for hours at my Grandma's house. When I was a bit older, she would ask me to sort them out and string all the matching ones together!

    1. Sorting them? My goodness - that's organised. A great idea, but I rather enjoy the suspense of rooting around in a tin or jar to find just the right button. Simple pleasures. :)

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog, here is a link to a fun blog to follow since you love buttons. http://buttonfloozies.blogspot.com/ I'm pleased you liked my blog though you thought it was a paper crafting blog. It is a blog of various types of Art and Creations. I personally am more into Mixed Media vintage style myself which includes fabrics. Your blog is lovely too. You may want to visit my Lulus Lovlies blog as it is more general, you will get a chance to find alot of fun vintage style blogs as I have many more followers since it was given more attention in the beginning. Hope this helps you find some more interesting blogging fun as there are so many out there. I also belong to a quilting swap that is listed on the side bar of my other blog. Have fun and I'll see you again soon. Happy Blogging and Creating. Hugs Marilou
